Wayfarer MASTHEAD-CRUISING-SLOOP - main image

1966 Wayfarer Masthead Cruising Sloop

location icon San Pedro, United States
Year 1966
Length 33 ft
Price
$16,900

Drummer has cruised extensively in the South Pacific Islands and voyaged from Ventura to Hawaii a number of times. She was once owned by American cartoonist Pappy Lemmons who humorously documented his travels with his family aboard "Drummer" in the Pitcairn Islands in 1978 for Skipper magazine. Designed by J.H McGlasson, Wayfarer became part of Islander Yachts and the Wayfarer 33 was a raised deck version of the first Islander 32.

Drummer has a Yanmar diesel, radar and solar panels; fresh bottom paint, new through hulls and new running rigging, and more, see full specs for more details of extras and upgrades. Mast steps and shroud steps are useful features for ease of rigging servicing and the wide open decks afford lots of working space. The cockpit is deep, and safe.

A great boat for beginners or seasoned sailors alike, whether for weekends on Catalina or further afield. Be ready for the upcoming summer season with your new boat!

Price reduced to $16,500 April 27th to encourage early sale

Accomodations

From the cockpit enter through the companionway then down two steps and the galley is to port. There's an AC refrigerator, microwave and single SS sink with pressure water (cold only). Forward of the galley is a raised U-shaped dinette that converts to a double bed. The mirror on the bulkhead adds to a spacious feel. Forward of the bulkhead is the head compartment with manual head, washbasin and vanity.  A large v-berth is forward, with a shelf and two lockers. More storage and a hanging locker are to starboard as we move back aft. An owner in the '80's had converted the settee to a large nav station, and now it's a very comfortable lee berth/day lounger. Aft is the quarter berth (no mattress), and the engine is beneath the companionway steps.

She's neat and clean, with renewed mattresses in both the v-berth and lee berth, carpeted sole, LED lighting, a small flat screen TV and a Sony stereo system with six speakers.
